The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it truly is alarmed regarding the significant number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The services issue made for intervention encounters a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to empower the servicing of all customers and enhance access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
